Famous Novels

I guess Random Quiz Friday survives another week...

My sister-in-law found this one and posted it on Facebook. It's from Quizfreaks, and it's a test for all us bookish people. Can You Name the 12 Most Famous Novels in History?

Need a new pic for these besides the "what if" pic. I'm working on it.
I got all 12. How'd you do?

  2. Not sure what I did wrong, but I couldn't advance after the first question......

  3. Same problem here as Betty. Fun game, though.
I'd say all the classics -- such as Tolstoy's writings.

    1. Yeah, there's a lot of clutter which makes the thing load slow. Sorry you had difficulties.

  4. I only got 11. I missed number 3, though I'm not sure which one that was because of how it's set up.

I wonder why it's not working for some people. How weird.

  5. I have one HUGE problem with that quiz--they're asking about the 12 most famous novels in history and there's no Gone with the Wind? Seriously???

    1. True, those might not be the most famous. Maybe they're on some list as most significant?

    2. Thinking back on that quiz, I think perhaps the list was made by a man... Most male literary types I've known wouldn't put any Jane Austen on a "best books" list...and they act like Gone with the Wind never existed.

    3. That's a very good point. It is a very masculine list. I enjoyed Brave New World, but many of my fellow seniors (I had to read it in school) hated it. I was probably the only girl who liked it.

  6. Interesting quiz, but I can't tell how many answers were correct. It's only showing the answers to the first 8, and those seem to be right. Maybe it doesn't work well with Safari?

  7. Oh Jeez. I got them all right! Even though I haven't read them all I know what they were about. That is bizarre. Just goes to show you can learn a lot from pop culture. We are moving to a cold place in a year and my husband is very interested in your beanies. I'll speak to you more about this Liz.

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
