Hideous

The school year hadn't technically started. (By the time you read this, it will have. The continuation high school starts a month earlier than the other schools. But the other schools started up this week.) So, the district office was still in the process of getting stuff distributed.

Like our ID badges. I tried not to think too much about mine when I got this text from the sub caller...

New picture? I didn't know that was an option. If I had known that was an option, I would have replaced that picture ages ago.

Because the picture was bad. Really bad. Her telling me I looked like a felon was kind of a nice way to describe it.

The new picture? Not a whole lot better. Better, definitely, but not ideal. Ah well. It's not like ID pictures ever look that good.

  1. At least she didn't tell you that you looked like a giant pumpkin.

  2. Aww! You looked like a felon? I'm not sure if that would make me laugh or cringe. *sigh* At least you have the option to get a new picture taken. Just get a good one this time! ;)

    1. She meant it in good humor. She's seen me in person, so she knows I don't look like that really.

  3. LOL that someone would make that comment about your picture. Its always the worse scenario when they are taking pictures like that. Like getting your picture taken for your driver's license. They don't really care if you look good or not, just doing the job :)

  4. Haha! That's pretty funny. It's a really god program though, so it was sort of a compliment, too.

    1. She said she's been bingeing it. I hear it is good, but I haven't seen it.

  5. Very nice of the person to tell you how bad you looked!! NOT!

    1. But you must understand the picture was hideous. Terrible. She wasn't insulting me by telling me the picture was bad. She's seen me in real life. She knows I don't look like that.

  6. Why can't ID cards ever turn out okay? The last film festival I went to ripped my picture right from my site - which is me in full gore makeup. And that picture was PREFERABLE.

    1. I think it has something to do with how the camera is set up. It's very flat. No one photographs well like that.

  9. Haha. At least you can laugh about it. I've had to live with a disgraceful driver's licence for the last five years.

  10. Where I used to work, most people turned their badge around so their picture was facing them. They'd turn it around for security, then back again. None of us liked our picture!

    1. That's exactly what I do...when I wear it. Which, to be honest, isn't very often. I'm supposed to wear it, though...

  11. I've got to go get a new passport photo taken and I'm hoping I come out looking somewhat normal. I look like I've had a stroke in my old one though, so anything will be an improvement on that!

  12. A little better at least. Photo IDs can be so harsh!

  13. These pictures are never the most flattering. My last driver's license pic makes me look like a felon.

  14. I'm yet to see an ID badge that makes the person look good lol. Still, not looking like an inmate is an improvement!

I appreciate your comments.
