A Painting and a Story

My uncle has been making YouTube videos. (He posts them on his blog from time to time.) Today I thought I'd share them with you.

The story is true. The painting was done by him. He said that he's been experimenting with getting all the images on one painting. See what you think.

The story continues in the next video...

Have a great weekend.

  1. Very interesting! I like the way he tells the story. 1961 was not that long ago yet it was a lifetime!

    1. This is how he tells stories. It really worked in this medium.

  3. Wow, how times have changed in over 50 years. My husband remembers seeing signs over water fountains on who could drink out of them. He lived in various parts of the south growing up, Kentucky, Florida mainly. So glad things are different now in 2017 in New Orleans.

    1. That's too bad. The story explains the painting. I guess he needs to put in captions.

  8. I grew up in those times. My Dad (who grew up in Brooklyn) was stationed during World War II in Biloxi, Mississippi. What an eyeopener it was for him. He never forgot. Thank you for posting this. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  9. I would have shared on Facebook, too, except that the "no *****" comment is quite visible. It is worth sharing, though.

    1. You can embed the 2nd video on its own via YouTube. No difficult terminology in that one ;)
